Roman Fashion

Roman Fashion, were different among the rich, poor, men, women, and the children.

Roman Fashion, distinguished wearer the more their dress was correctly remarked, while the dress of the lowest classes was often not noticed or cared for a lot like the riches' clothes. They were wearing sort-of looking blankets in their selves. They wore colorful shoes and broad stripes on their tunics if they wanted to. There was something called the laurel which men wore. They all had different types. Both men and women wore a simple, wrapped loincloth at least some of the time male laborers wore the sublegal when working but upper-class men may have worn it only when exercising. Women also wore a band of cloth or leather to support the breasts. The Roman shoes were really weird. The shoes were sandals that would be long at the top of the knee. The way they used to tie them was to put the strings around the ankle and leg and tie it in a bunny ear bow at the end of tying them. Romans removed there sandals or whatever shoes they are wearing, at the door and slipped on the sandals that had been carried by their slaves. Then ever since Roman Fashion was existing, many more styles were made with different types of fabrics and also the shoes.

Rome's Daily Life

Rome, the most famous historic place ever. Its daily life was very extraordinary to know and to live in before. Its government was famous for power and law. The Roman government ruled most of Rome because the Senators, who are in charged for the government, were always afraid that some other rich roman could take over as king. But who ever gets in the way to become king in Rome, the Senators would plan to kill him. Thats one example of Roman daily life. Now lets talk about the daily life of the rich and the poor in Rome. For wealthy romans, life was good. They lived in beautiful homes--often on the hills outside of Rome away from the noise ,smell and crowded. They enjoyed an extravagant lifestyle with luxuries furnishings, surrounded by servants and slaves to cater to their every desire. Many would hold exclusive dinner parties and serve their guests the exotic dishes of the day. Poorer romans, however, could only dream of being rich and having such life. Sweating it out in the city, they lived in shabby, squalid houses that could collapse or burn at any moment. If times were hard, they might abandon newborn babies to the streets, hoping that someone else would take care of them in as a servant or slave. Poor in wealth but strong in numbers, they were the Roman mob, who relaxed in front of the popular entertainment of the time--chariot races between opposing teams or gladiators fighting for their life, fortune and fame. Although the life of the rich and poor are different, they have something in common. In every Roman family life, the head of the household was always the man. Even though his wife looks after the household, he controlls it. All by himself owns property. And ONLY HE decided the fate of his children and who they would marry. That was how the Roman daily life was almost everyday.

This photo represents one of the daily arts of the Roman people.
